70,000 euros in Apple products stolen when truck is held up while in motion

A crime group made off with a cache worth 70,000 euros in Germany when they held up a delivery truck transporting Apple merchandise from Holland to the Czech Republic.

They got away with 125 iPads, several iPad minis and dozens of iPhones. Surprisingly, the operation was executed while the vehicle was driving, which means the thieves had to work right on the highway, forcing the doors and passing the packages to their own truck with the delivery van in motion. The driver was unaware of what had happened until he stopped to rest and realized that a large part of his load was missing.

German police are investigating the crime, and as strange as it seems, a theft of this nature is not so unusual. This unique modus operandi has been used dozens of times to steal merchandise from trucks in motion.
